Straight Talk Customer Service Reviews

1. Virginia of Fort Washington, Straight Talk Verified Reviewer

I just bought a mobile phone for my son. My son received a message today saying that his data has been used. In the settings, it shows that he actually used .98gb of data. Ask the company to see what happened. The man just kept saying that all the data was used, but he insisted on it when he checked it out and then said the same thing.
Given that it is a new phone, it won't even compensate for anything, just keep saying to add a new plan. Talk to a manager who often says the same thing. I even asked where they were because their accents and behaviours were like they didn't even understand simple math and were told they were somewhere in Colombia. They even said that they can't make up for anything.
They can't transfer me to someone who has the right to help. All they want is for me to buy another plan. Come back later, this time I talked to an American who worked with me about the solution. First of all, two people don't even have a business because they don't know what customer service is. Michael of Florence, KY verified the reviewer.
I purchased a mobile phone from the straight talk customer service number to activate the phone website and made a Smart Pay payment. My Galaxy S9 is defective, so I called Straight Talk and said it was not their phone but a Smart Talk phone. I have to send the phone back, but they didn't give you a borrowed phone instead of a bad one.
I was told that they were a rental company and they didn't do it (if I had a problem. I could bring it back to where I bought it and get borrowed during the repair). No matter how many times you make a call, you will receive a different answer each time. They don't care about their customers because now I don't have a phone. When I got my new phone.
I took the AT&T operator because I installed Verizon on my old phone. They said that AT&T would not use Verizon phones. They said that I need to buy a new SIM card to make it work. stand up. Their customer relationships and services are poor.

Ok, so I talked to Straight for a year or so. My mother bought it from Wal-Mart. We continue to pay. Last month, we paid a one-month advance payment, so are we good? Do not! Two times last week, my mobile phone data disappeared! No phone, no text messages, no internet.
I even received a text message for the 900 number and assumed it came from abroad! We called the customer service and they said someone tried to use/steal my phone number. I was taken care of this day, I got my data, and life lasted until a few days ago. In the middle of the day, I suddenly encountered the same problem, but there was no problem with the 900 number.
We called again and waited too long. Straight Talk said my phone number was on the blacklist, I reported it was stolen, I can't use it for 72 hours. My mother is crazy! I have never reported it. I am a high school graduate and part-time. So we went for 3 days without service, and called them again and said they couldn't do anything until the date of my data.
The price I paid was cheated and I didn't use my cell phone. I will never come back to use Straight Talk. They have never yelled at me before, but I believe this is the sign of God, saying that I should get a better company than the WalMart phone.

3, Suzanne of Salt Lake City, Verified Reviewer

My new phone only took 3 weeks, I bought it from Wal-Mart, and suddenly it won't charge. I paid $100. I have tried several different charges, but still can only reach a maximum of 11%, then when I call or view something, it dies again. For my new phone that pays $100.
I expect even a cheap phone to last longer. I want to bring it to Wal-Mart's technicians to see if they can find a solution, but since I've tried it on someone else's charger it looks bad - especially when I'm specializing in this phone. I will prepare a new phone for my company, which will be grandly opened in a week, ARG!

4. Dean of Decatur, Verified Reviewer

I like unlimited conversations, texts and 10 data I get from Straight Talk for a flat fee. I almost went to the reception. However, I hate customer service experience! I am absolutely afraid to call them. I talk to a lot of companies every week, I can tell you that most big companies have mediocre customer service agents. Every once in a while, you will be lucky for a big company and talk to a high-paying agent whose salary is too low.
Customer retention is the only reason many of these companies still exist. But with Straight Talk, you'll always get the most out-of-the-box agents you've ever encountered. It is the logic of the third grade and the shortest attention. I have had painful happiness. If you're reading this article, check out who trained Chick-fil-A's team members and pay double the cost to train your entry-level agents. Your business may double because you are much less than the four major operators.

5. Colleen L Much

We purchased a new Samsung phone from Wal-Mart in August 2018 for $199.99. The phone runs perfectly until December 17, 2018, when we purchased an unlimited monthly recharge card and tried to reinstall the phone. The phone cannot connect to the network, although the card shows on the web that it was correctly credited.
Since December last year, my husband and I have spent more than five hours calling the staff of the Straits. They have experienced a series of 30-minute questions, including closing and unlocking the phone, resetting items, and so on. When one can't troubleshoot the problem, they transfer us to a new strait talker who once again raised the same question.
We completed 11 times and had 11 different agents in 3 days until we were too frustrated to complete the same steps with another “technical” support staff. The Straits talks that this is a problem with Verizon Wireless because the owner of the tower they use here is Bozeman at MT. It has been more than a month, and it is blunt to solve the problem.
They even promised us 55.00 cards per month on the first day. I called today to check the ticket number they checked with Verizon. I was told that I had to buy a new service card to continue to solve the phone problem. This is an incredibly disgusting business practice and I will also file a formal complaint with Wal-Mart.

6. Marcia Booker

Dear CEO of Straight Talk
I am very dissatisfied with your customer service department. I have never been so disrespectful and persistent. I have served my granddaughter for 2 years and bought this phone at a local Wal-Mart store. After two years of continuous years, my granddaughter got a new phone on the contract. I started calling Straight Talk after my first return in the year.
They told me that I am not qualified because I have not been on the phone for a few months, I did. Then three hours after the call on the third day, our IT staff said that half of what they told me was incorrect, and then we proved that the service had been on the phone for 2 years. They linked me to the unlocking department.
A very rude lady told me that she couldn't find my information, so I asked a supervisor who let me go back online and it was very loud. I received a message from an outspoken representative who left me #888-442-5102 to call back so that they could unlock my phone immediately.
I called back and was told that I had to wait for another 24 to 48 hours to unlock the phone today is 02/12/2019. Since January 2019, we have been trying to get this call, and I paid for my hard earned money. Call a better bureau to see if I can make some formal complaints. I am saddened by the people that Support is using. I intend to continue with social media and complain.

Avoid directtalk.com like the plague! When I wrote this article at 10 is on Friday, their website was closed - LMAO! Trying to refill our working HotSpot by phone and screw them up! No replacement is provided, no - tell us to call back when it is closed. Speak to 10 different representatives - everyone tried to help and make suggestions, but it was futile. Trying to work with them calmly and rationally - still not solving our problems! Come back 3 days later to request credit because the equipment was bricked and told to be issued within 7 working days - never happened! Half the time you call, their delegate's phone volume is too low.
So you often have to remind them to speak loudly or adjust their headphones - my hearing is perfect, so this is their bad phone system! Moreover, many customers don't realize that although they speak directly to AT&T or Verizon's network, their direct call traffic/services have a lower priority, so if the cellular tower service in your area is unexpectedly saturated due to weather, etc. It may not be restricted by phone or your hotspot! Use this service. This is Mexico's main network, they have a very bad system! They are using Wal-Mart's customers!

8. Mao K

The buyer is concerned that FRAUD is calling to change the payment method for my prepaid account. I can't let the operator know me. I called the Philippines and the representative transferred me to a very dirty "supervisor." When I told her I wanted to go to another company, she said, "That's it!" I hung up in dismay and found out that she reported that my phone was stolen. It took me five days to get it back into use. I really want to know who the consumers are, they have their customer service at U, S, imagine an employee of that company doing that. I am writing to their legal department in Mexico and may take legal action!

9. Sarah B

Terrible company. I have never left a bad Yelp comment, but I have such a terrible experience with Straight Talk. I think I should warn any other suspected victim. I have been with them since September 2017 and have only limited problems until I try to stop using their services. I asked to unlock my phone so I can use the new Verizon program. Someone told me that this is not a problem and it takes 48 hours. My StraightTalk program still has 3 days of service, so I feel great.
I still have service until my phone is unlocked and my Verizon plan is kicked. In addition to calling my phone to unlock my phone within a few hours, my StraightTalk program, I have paid and stopped working. This is annoying, but I am a very tolerant person, so I just thought that I didn't have a phone call for 48 hours, not a fuss. Fast forward for 72 hours, my phone is still not unlocked.
I decided it was time to call Straight Talk to solve this problem. Basically, I’ve been on the phone for the past 3 hours, and I’ve done everything they asked me when I reset my phone and a few other troubleshooting options they gave, but mine The phone has not been unlocked yet. They told me to call back twice and talk to another department, and then the department was unable to use it twice.
I was told to call back on Monday. So I hope I don't have a work call, I hope someone can help me on Monday. I pressed the question and talked to the manager. The manager let me go through the same steps that technical support did, and then hanged me when it didn't work.
So I called back and talked to another manager. When they couldn't find a solution, they hung up without warning. This is not a problem with the iPhone, because the error message I received when I restarted my phone with the new SIM card clearly indicated that my phone was locked and must be unlocked by the carrier (StraightTalk). They kept giving me a solution. I recently told me that the phone has been unlocked, the ticket has been closed, my problem has been solved and I am hung up.
So I called back because it was obvious that the problem was not resolved and they hung up again. guess what? The same thing happened even after talking to another manager. I have been very polite and there is no reason for me to hang up. They are not interested in solving this problem and effectively telling me to do it myself. So now I have a very good iPhone, they refuse to unlock and Apple Watch, I can't use it unless I want to stick to Straight Talk or get a new iPhone. This is crazy. I am reporting to BBB.

While most Americans have signed up with major carrier brands such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular or Verizon Wireless, there are more options for US mobile phone customers looking for bargains. These low-cost operators, called MVNOs (mobile virtual network operators), can rely on four major networks to offer lower prices, especially for individual users who do not wish to participate in family planning.
We have been updating this story for many years. The latest update was released in October 2018.
All major operators have low-cost derivatives and their transactions are worth checking first. AT&T operates Cricket Wireless. Sprint has Boost and Virgin. T-Mobile owns Metro. If you are looking for a wide variety of stores and solid customer service, these brand price concessions should be your first shopping stop. We will mention them when appropriate.
For other brands that usually don't have a store, pay attention to their reputation for customer service and their support network. Some MVNOs offer you the option to choose between different enabled networks, some of which are associated with only one. One company, Google Fi, combines Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular on one card, but for other companies, you must choose the network you need when purchasing your SIM card.
Depending on your needs, even one of the four major networks may have a plan that is right for you. For the best carrier service you live in, check out the results of the fastest mobile network.
We order our choices based on how much you spend each month to give you the best value at every price level. We also got a lot of comments from a lot of people, they want to know why their phone service is not listed, so at the bottom, we put forward a plan we have no choice, and why they did not make a decision. You may not agree! If you do this, be sure to explain why in the comments.

straight talk live chat

In general, when you turn to these less prominent operators, you won't get the kind of customer service you get from the Big Four. Yes, I can hear your laughter. But the main problem is that if you have a problem with your SIM card, you won't be able to get a physical store for help - you won't be able to deal with scripting employees in outsourced call centers, and they usually don't know the tech-savvy consumers. I remember working with a reader who had to throw away the $60 MVNO SIM card because of activation issues.
If you are concerned about this, then two lesser-known operators will continue to receive strong ratings for customer service: Consumer Cellular and Republic Wireless. You can also turn to a wholly-owned brand of large operators with their own store network: AT&T's Cricket, T-Mobile's Metro and Sprint's Boost and Virgin.
Also, read the comments. This story has been around for a long time, and I keep the reviews complete because they are a good chronicle for people signing up for some of these services.
Yes, you can get quality mobile phone service in the US for $10 or less.
Let's start at the bottom. SpeedTalk using the T-Mobile network costs $5 a month and includes 100 minutes, 100 texts and 100MB of data. For example, this can be used for emergency glove box calls, or for children's calls, which only call when the bus is late. It also has a program of $99 per year ($8.25 a month), 500 minutes per month, 500MB and unlimited text. I was a bit nervous about SpeedTalk because it had a very bad website error, but I didn't hear any actual complaints about the company.
A group of MVNOs are now working on a monthly plan of $10. The two things I want to talk about this time are Unreal Mobile and Red Pocket. Unreal Mobile, operated by FreedomPop, offers a $10 plan to use unlimited 1GB of data for unlimited calls and texting on Sprint or AT&T networks. This is an amazing deal.
Red Pocket will provide you with 500 talk time, 500 texts and 500 MB of data for $10 through its Essentials program. This is especially useful for people who need a Verizon network and is more favourable than competitors Puppy Wireless, Free UP Mobile or The People's Operator.
With these options, we can cancel Scratch Wireless (very poor phone selection) and TracFone (it can be very cheap if you play a complex minute reloading card game). American Mobile no longer offers a simple plan that we recommended before.
